Online courses on sites like Udemy, Skillshare, or Coursera are not officially accredited by major organizations that issue accreditations. The certificates on Udemy, Skillshare, Coursera, and other online course websites come from those sites. They are essentially a glorified PDF document saying that the student completed a certain number of hours of instruction. They don't require passing of any tests.
Nevertheless, students find having those certificates helpful because they are better than having nothing. Students often list them on resumes, their websites, and the "about us" pages on sites like Fiverr to get more trust and credibility. So even the PDF certificates are useful.
Even though the certificate is unofficial, it has two benefits. The first benefit is that students buy the course more readily. The second benefit is that students are able to use their certificates to increase the chances of getting jobs or freelancing clients.
While the certification you can issue is only partially meaningful, you should also explain that the training your courses provide are more meaningful than the certificates you issue because with the learning in your courses, the students will be able to pass real certification tests or at least get closer to doing so. That's the real-world value of the certificates.
Not all students realize how to use even the non-accredited certificates you issue so you can explain to them in your course description that they can add it to their resumes, websites, or freelancing sites.
