How Much Money You Can Make Selling Online Courses

Today. There are only a handful of truly profitable online industries. They are Elearning, Cryptocurrency, and Ecommerce. Soon they will be joined by the Metaverse, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. And to a lesser degree, the service business and the gig economy has been a way to make money online, although much less profitably.

The challenge with the online course business is that many experts are not natural teachers. Even though many people take teaching skills for granted, it takes time to become a good teacher. Even once people become good teachers, they realize that it is difficult to compete against other good teachers since many course topics are taught by many instructors. The level of competition is quite high and getting more difficult all the time.

Because of the challenges of the online course business, many new instructors earn little money in their first year. But as they learn how to promote their courses while making their courses better and better, they begin earning more significant income. The top online instructors make 7-figures and the very top online instructors make near 8-figure income from their online course businesses.

Course Profitability Depends On How Much It Costs To Start

For some people, it is easy to make online courses if they are already experienced teachers, natural presenters, good marketers, and are good with video and audio creation.

For instructors who need to go through a learning curve to become good at the aforementioned skills, the costliest part of starting is the time needed to become good at all these skills. To help new instructors save time, I made three options available which help them acquire online courses quickly. The first option is my online course franchise business in which I create a website for the new instructors and upload my courses, allowing new instructors to sell quality courses quickly. The second option is my course licensing. The third option is custom course creation which can be pricey, but insures that the new instructor gets a course that is perfect for them.

If you can enter the online course business relatively quickly and with low overhead, the only thing you have to do is sell. There is no inventory to maintain, no staff to pay, no rent for a brick and mortar location. After the curse launch, just about all revenue is profit. So the sky is the limit in what you can earn.

If You Try To Explore My Courses As A Student

As a part of your research and journey to becoming a good instructor, you must learn from other successful instructors. It's ideal to take courses by other successful instructors so you have an example of good teaching and course structure. Plus, with every new instructor you come across, there will be something new to learn.

Course Sales To Make Sure Your Course Earns Its Full Potential

You need sales in every business. The same is true in Elearning. You might have the best course in the world, but if you are not going to be able to sell it, you won't make much money from your online course business.

To sell, you first need to choose a platform to focus on. Your platform can be Udemy, Skillshare, your own site that hosts courses on Teachable or Thinkific, or another site. Whichever path you choose, your sales and marketing plan must fit that path.

For example, if you sell courses on your website, you must bring traffic there either via ads, social media, or SEO. If you are not able to perfect any of these marketing strategies, your online course business may not earn much money.

In case you are able to master running profitable ads, SEO, or social media marketing, you will be able to get traffic and sales to your online courses and generate significant earnings.
